Easterval on Union Island attracts local, regional and international patrons and is regarded as the national festival for the Southern Grenadines. The success of this festival is evident in the large number of visitors that come to the island. Easterval began some 30 years ago with emphasis on athletics. However, with the change in time has come the evolution of the festival which now includes art, culture and a myriad of other festive activities.
